FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Volleyball will take on its final nonconference tournament of the season this weekend when the Lions head to Montgomery, Alabama, for four matches at the Warhawk Invitational.
The Lions will open the tournament against Albany State at 11 a.m. Friday followed by a 4 p.m. contest against Middle Georgia State. Saturday sees UAFS face Albany State for a second time at 8:30 a.m. before the Lions conclude the weekend at 1:30 p.m. against host Auburn Montgomery.

NOTES:
LAST WEEK: The Lions went 5-0 last week, sweeping UA-Monticello on the road before going 4-0 at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational.
AOTW: Outside hitter Lydia Pitts was selected as the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week, becoming the first Lion to earn an MIAA weekly award.
ALL-TOURNAMENT: Pitts and setter Mayli Whetter were each selected to the Kentucky Wesleyan All-Tournament Team.
GETTING DEFENSIVE: UAFS ranks third in the MIAA with a .131 opponent hitting percentage through the first two weeks of the season.
LEAGUE LEADERS: Pitts ranks fifth in the league with 3.37 kills per set while Ella Shelby is fourth with .44 aces per set with 12 total.
SCOUTING ASU: The Golden Rams are 5-4 and are 4-1 in their last five matches. Middle Shaniya Banks leads the Rams with a .339 attack percentage and .77 blocks per set.
SCOUTING MGS: The Knights are 0-8 on the season and have only won one set all year. Middle Georgia is only hitting .060 on the year as outside hitter McCall Wolf averages 3.04 kills per set.
SCOUTING AUM: The Warhawks are 2-5 this season after having lost their last three matches. Outside hitter Chelsea Daffin paces the Warhawks with 81 kills.
THE SERIES: UAFS is 1-0 against Albany State and 2-0 versus Auburn Montgomery while this will be the first ever matchup against Middle Georgia State.
