CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Men's Tennis dominated University of the Ozarks, picking up a 7-0 sweep over the Eagles on Wednesday.
Nathan Rigault and Kevin Praphan teamed at No. 3 doubles for a 6-2 win while Kivanc Bedir and Rodrigo Hoppe paired at No. 2 for a 6-1 win. The Eagles won at No. 1, 7-6, but the Lions earned the doubles point.
The Lions won each singles match in straight sets, as Eduardo Bribiesca won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 while Nathan Rigault won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2.
UAFS had a shutout set in each of the final four matches, as Simeon Latinchev won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 while Bedir won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4. At No. 5, Rodrigo Hoppe won 6-0, 6-1 and Kevin Praphan won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6.
The Lions are next in action March 27 against Northeastern State at The Hangout.
