KANSAS CITY – Chandler Cooke has been named the MIAA Men's Golfer of the Week, the association announced Wednesday.

Cooke earned a fifth-place finish at the Washburn Invitational for his third straight top-five finish in the 2026-27 season, leading all MIAA golfers in the tournament with a 54-hole scorecard of 212 (-1) at the Topeka Country Club.

The senior from Belton, Texas, fired rounds of 71(even), 69 (-2) and 72 (+1) and led the Lions with 10 birdies and 37 pars — the fourth-most among the field of 86. Cooke finished -5 on par-5s and had the third-fewest bogeys in the competition.

He is the first Lion to claim an MIAA Golfer of the Week award this season.
