FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Volleyball will take part in its final nonconference tournament this weekend as the Lions travel to the Harding Invitational.
The Lions will play a pair of matches Friday, starting at 2:30 p.m. against Southwest Baptist followed by a 7:30 p.m. contest versus Southern Arkansas. UAFS closes the weekend at 9:30 a.m. Saturday against Crowley's Ridge College.

NOTES:
LAST WEEK: UAFS went 2-2 at the Reddie-Tiger Invitational, dropping their first two matches before bouncing back with wins over Henderson State and Auburn Montgomery.
AT THE NET: UAFS ranks third in the MIAA in blocks at 2.56 per set while having the most total blocks. Middle Crystal Smith leads the league with 1.53 blocks per set and 49 total blocks.
SERVE IT UP: Setter Scarlette Young paces the MIAA with 20 total aces for an average of 0.63 per set.
SCOUTING SBU: The Bearcats are 3-5 after dropping three of four matches last weekend. Outside hitter Gabriela Dupree leads SBU with 3.83 kills per set.
SCOUTING SAU: The Muleriders are 3-7 after falling in their league opener to Ouachita Baptist on Tuesday. Libero Sadie Kabisch leads the SAU defense with 6.08 digs per set.
SCOUTING CRC: The NAIA Pioneers are 3-9 on the year, led by middle blocker Brooklyn Cross and outside hitter Amiyah Saxton, who each have 86 kills on the season.
THE SERIES: This will be the first ever meeting for UAFS against Southwest Baptist and Crowley's Ridge, while the Lions are 4-0 against Southern Arkansas.
