FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Women's Basketball had three represented on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams announced this week.

Earning the nod for the Lions were guard Hannah Boyett and forwards Layne Kirkendoll and Sinetra Jones.

This award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

This season, Boyett averaged 5.8 points while shooting 34.4 percent from beyond the arc. She scored a season-high 15 points four times and became the first Lion to eclipse 1,000 career points in the NCAA II era. Hannah is pursuing a master's degree in healthcare administration. 

Jones averaged career-bests of 8.6 points and 5.8 rebounds while finishing in the top 10 in the MIAA in blocks at 1.3 per game. She scored in double figures 13 times with a career-high 17 against Central Oklahoma and tallied five games with four or more blocks.Sinetra is pursuing a degree in social work. 

Kirkendoll appeared in 28 games as a reserve, averaging 2.9 points and led the Lions with 6.0 rebounds per game. She also was in the top 10 in the league in blocks at 1.3 per game and finished with five games with double figure rebounds, including a high of 14 against Central Oklahoma. Layne is currently pursuing a degree in psychology.
