DURANT, Okla. – Four scored in double figures but it wasn't enough as University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Women's Basketball came up short in an 86-74 defeat to Southeastern Oklahoma State Saturday.

Guard Telisha Brown led the Lions with 15 points while forward Marie Rose Priscilla Wemba added 14 points and seven rebounds on 5-for-5 shooting. Guard Haleigh Jackson finished with 11 points with guard Caiyah Smith scoring 10 points off the bench.

The Lions shot a season-high 37.9 percent from three, with four players each making two. UAFS had a 35-20 edge in bench points, as well.

After the Savage Storm jumped out to the early lead, the Lions used a 7-0 run to take a 12-10 lead. However, Southeastern regained the lead until the Lions hit a pair of threes in the second quarter to once again go back on top.

Southeastern then closed the half on a 9-5 run to take a 43-39 lead into halftime. The Savage Storm outscored the Lions, 21-13, in the third, as UAFS was unable to cut into the deficit in the second half.

The Lions are back in action Tuesday at 1 p.m. against Truman State in the Drury Thanksgiving Classic in Springfield, Missouri.
