MIAA Member Spotlight: NSU

Welcome to the MIAA

UAFS is transitioning into the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association this fall. Over the coming weeks, we are highlighting our new conference rivals so you know who the Lions are up against! This is your crash course in everything MIAA!

Northeastern Oklahoma State RiverHawks

About the university (Short Bio):

Although UAFS and NSU have never been in the same conference, their proximity to one another has made this a great regional rivalry even before they square off on a more regular basis.  The RiverHawks are most known for their Division II championship in men's basketball back in 2003, defeating Kentucky Wesleyan, 75-64.

NSU also has a number of alumni who have moved on to play sports at the professional level.

The Lions look forward to competing with a university so close to home!
