ARLINGTON, Texas - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Men's Tennis earned its second conference win of the season Friday with a 5-2 defeat over Dallas Baptist.
The Lions swept doubles play, with No. 2 of Juan Rosello and Eduardo Bribiesca and No. 3 of Eddie Hunter and Juan Patino each winning 6-3. Anis Ramchane and Killian Darneaux teamed up for a 7-5 win at No. 1.
Ramchane kept up his strong play with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles, while Juan Rosello claimed a 6-1, 7-6 win at No. 2.
Killian Darneaux sealed the match for the Lions with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4, while Eddie Hunter tallied his first league win of the year with a 6-1, 6-7, 6-1 win at No. 6.
Both Bribiesca and Patino dropped their matches in three-set thrillers.
Taylor Conway scored the only point in the women's match via a retirement as the Lions fell, 6-1, to the Patriots.
Both teams are back in action Saturday at UT Tyler at 11 a.m.
