FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Men's Tennis picked up a thrilling 4-3 victory over St. Mary's Friday in its home finale at the Fort Smith Athletic Club.

Juan Patino and Nicolas Retamales each went 2-0 to lead the Lions on the afternoon. The pair won 6-3 at No. 3 doubles, but the Rattlers won a Nos. 1 & 2 to claim the doubles point.

Anis Ramchane evened the match at 1-1 with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles before the Rattlers took the lead with a win at No. 3. UAFS once again evened the score as Juan Rosello tallied at 6-2, 7-6 victory at No. 2.

Patino put the Lions in front, 3-2, with a 6-4, 0-6, 6-1 win at No. 5 before it was the Rattlers' turn to even the match after Killian Darneaux dropped a three-set match, 7-5, 2-6, 2-6 at No. 4.

Retamales then captured the win for the Lions on Senior Day with a 7-6, 6-4 win at No. 6.

UAFS is set to wrap up the regular season next week at Lubbock Christian and Midwestern State.
