Weber records career-high 44 digs in finale at TWU

DENTON, Texas – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Volleyball was unable to extend its winning streak to five matches as the Lions came up short in five sets, 29-27, 24-26, 25-18, 22-25, 12-15 at Texas Woman's in the regular season finale Saturday.

The Lions hit a blistering .472 in set three with 18 kills and just on error. UAFS closed the set on a 7-1 run as it took a 2-1 lead in the match.

In the decisive fifth set, the Pioneers scored the first four points before the Lions scored the next three points. Then TWU scored four straight again before the Lions inched back within 10-9. The teams traded the next six points before the Pioneers closed out the match.
