COMMERCE, Texas – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith reeled off a fourth-set rally to force a decisive set five, but came up short in the final frame to drop a Lone Star Conference match, 25-23, 20-25, 12-25, 26-24, 5-15 at Texas A&M-Commerce Friday.

UAFS trailed 2-1 and faced a 20-13 deficit in set four, but rallied with a 9-1 run to take a 22-21 advantage. With the match tied at 24, UAFS took advantage of two A&M-Commerce errors to take the set.

After trading the first two points of set five, Commerce used a 6-0 run after a lengthy replay review to put the match out of reach.

UAFS will face another tough test Saturday, traveling to No. 19 UT Tyler. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
