The UAFS women's basketball team will continue their season with a battle on the road this weekend as the Lady Lions take on Western New Mexico and UT Permian Basin. First up, the Lady Lions will play against Western New Mexico at 5:30 pm on Thursday in Silver City, New Mexico. After that, they will then travel to Odessa, Texas to take on UT-Permian Basin at 2 pm on Saturday.

This Thursday will mark the first time the Lady Lions have ever faced the Mustangs so UAFS will be looking to start off the beginning of this series with a win. The Mustangs are currently 7-12 overall and 4-11 in conference play. On the other hand, the Lady Lions have been able to meet up with the Falcons several times in division II era and in their last matchup, UAFS came out on top with a 79-42 win.
Offensively, the Lady Lions are currently scoring 62.3 points per game while shooting .391 percent from the field, .285 percent from the three point line and .703 from the free throw line. The leading scorers for the Lady Lions are
