Ethan Eddleman posted the Lions' lone win on Friday afternoon as the Lions dropped a hard-fought, Heartland Conference tennis match 4-1 to the St. Mary's Rattlers in Arlington, Texas.
St. Mary's (6-11, 2-0) remained undefeated in conference play, while UAFS (3-8, 1-2) suffered its second league loss. The Lions were scheduled to play the St. Edward's Hilltoppers at 2 p.m. on Saturday, but that match was moved up to 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
Eddleman beat Alex Gee in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
