The UAFS men's tennis team posted its second win in three matches on Monday afternoon as the Lions shut out the previously undefeated John Brown Eagles 7-0 in a nonconference match at Fort Smith Athletic Club.
UAFS (2-5) posted its first won against Dallas Baptist to begin Heartland Conference play on March 1 and was coming off a 6-1 nonconference loss to Southern Indiana this past Wednesday.
It was the fourth match of a five-match home stand for UAFS. The Lions were scheduled to play NCAA Division I Oral Roberts in Tulsa on Tuesday, but that match has been postponed indefinitely. The Lions will host the Newman Jets in a Heartland Conference match at 2 p.m. at Fort Smith Athletic Club.
The Lions took an early 1-0 lead after winning all three doubles matches.

Daniel Borrero beat Nathan Kuykendall and Cade Cox 6-1 at No. 1 doubles,
Brady Kenyon and
Luke Anderson beat Woody Woodring and Logan Wheeler 6-1 at No. 2 doubles and
Zach Delmonico and
Andrew Anderson beat Noah Frederick and Mitchell Berry 6-1 at No. 3 doubles.
UAFS eased through singles play, winning each match in straight sets.
Borrero beat Kuykendall 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, Van Dyk beat Cox 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, Kenyon beat Berry at No. 3 singles,
Luke Anderson beat Wheeler 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 singles, Ethan Eddleton beat Woodring 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5 singles and Delmonico beat Jordan Scoggins 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
