After defeating Western New Mexico and UT Permian Basin in the Senior Day game, UAFS Volleyball team is looking to finish the regular season as the Lady Lions are preparing to match up against Midwestern State at 6 p.m. on Friday and Texas Woman's at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The Lady Lions are currently 22-5 overall and 15-1 in conference play.
Offensively, the Lady Lions are hitting a .258 clip with 1299 kills on 3501 attempts and 394 errors. UAFS are recording 13.4 kills, 12.0 assists and 16.5 digs per set. The Lady Lions are led by
Anna Demmer in kills (346) followed by
Lexie Johnston (273) and
Rachel Williams (253).
Amanda Van Wyk dominantly leads the team in assists (977) while Johnston leads in hitting percentage (.404).
Defensively, the Lady Lions are currently holding their opponents to a .155 hitting percentage with 1159 kills and 588 errors on 3679 attempts. UAFS allows only 11.9 kills per set.
Lexy Lewis still leads the lady Lions in digs (353) followed closely by Van Wyk (314) and Demmer (312).
