UAFS Cross Country teams have competed in their final race of the 2019 season during the Lone Star Conference Championship at University Golf Course at Scott Park in Silver City, N.M.
UAFS Men's Cross Country team was led by
Will Phillips who ran 27:27.60 which placed him as 47th. As a team, Lions placed as 15th with average time of 29:00.16.
UAFS Women's Cross Country team was led by senior
Kandace Young who placed 59th while recording a 25:31.19 time. As a team, the Lady Lions ran a total time of 2:13:23.44 with an average time of 26:40.69 which placed them as 15th as well.
The Lions and the Lady Lions have had an exciting season to the date and are preparing for the NCAA Division II South Central Region meet which is hosted by West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas and will take place on November 9.
