Oklahoma Baptist held UAFS to just a 0.189 hitting percentage as the Lady Bison snapped the Lady Lions' two-match winning streak with a four-set, nonconference volleyball win on Thursday night at the Noble Complex in Shawnee, Okla.
The Lady Bison won the match 20-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-20 but still trail the Lady Lions 5-3 in the all-time series.
UAFS (9-7) settled for a split in its tri-match after beating Southwestern Oklahoma State in five sets in its first match of the night. It was the final match of the week for UAFS, which will begin Heartland Conference play on Thursday against Dallas Baptist at The Burg Center in Dallas, Texas.
The Lady Lions had 52 kills on 169 attempts and committed 20 errors. Senior middle hitter
Debra Rogers was the only Lady Lion to collect double-digit kills, finishing with 16 kills. Freshman setter

Erin Black had 29 and 17 assists, respectively.
Oklahoma Baptist had nine total team blocks. Junior middle hitter Taylor Williams had five block assists to lead the Lady Bison. Oklahoma Baptist had 91 digs with sophomore defensive specialist Kelsi Chavez accounting for 25 digs.
UAFS held Oklahoma Baptist to 0.210 hitting percentage with 63 kills on 186 attempts with 24 errors. Sophomore outside hitters Mikayla Watson and Malia Leatherland had 15 and 14 kills, respectively.
Freshman setter Jenna Gremmel had 44 assists, and Leatherland served two of the Lady Bison's three aces.
