The UAFS women's cross country team made is fall debut on Saturday morning, posting a 29
th-place finish in the annual Missouri Southern State Southern Stampede 5k at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin, Mo.

Kandace Young led the Lady Lions contingent, finishing 63
rd overall with a time of 19:07.1. Junior
Cami Hedstrom finished 211
th with a time of 21:00.7, sophomore
Morgan Fagan finished 239
th with a time of 21:26.6, senior
Madison Trees finished 248
th with a time of 21:36.9, senior
Savanna Herbert finished 261
st with a time of 21:54.6, junior
Carmen Hedstrom finished 294
th with a time of 23:06.2, redshirt sophomore
Kaylie McVoy finished 310
th with a time of 24:00.5.
Tulsa had four runners finish in the Top 10 and won the division with 33 points, while Missouri State was second with 140 points. Tulsa junior Reagan Hausmann won the event with a time of 17:26.5, edging teammate Caitlin Kloffer who posted a time of 17:33.
It was the first of five meets for the Lady Lions this season. UAFS will return to action next Saturday when the Lady Lions compete in the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
