Angelo State held the potent UAFS offensive juggernaut to just 21 total kills during Saturday night's final match of the Kathleen Brasfield Invitational as the host Belles swept the Lady Lions at the Junell Center in San Angelo, Texas.
The Belles (4-0) won the match 25-16, 25-19, 25-16, ending the Lady Lions' unbeaten start to the season that included three-consecutive sweeps of East Central, Texas A&M-Kingsville and New Mexico Highlands.
UAFS compiled just a 0.037 hitting percentage with 21 kills on 108 attempts with 17 errors. Six different Lady Lions had at least one kill, but no player collected double-digit kills. Junior outside hitter
Anna Demmer led the team with nine kills.

Taylor Stoops had 12 assists, and sophomore right-side hitter
Erin Black served two of the Lady Lions' three aces.
Angelo State collected four total team blocks with freshman Sophia Berg and sophomore middle hitter Baleigh Allen each had one solo block and one block assist. Three different Belles had double-digit digs led by freshman libero Makenna Hanssen with 15 digs.
​​​​​​​UAFS held Angelo State to a 0.235 hitting percentage with 42 kills on 119 attempts with 14 errors. Senior outside hitter Audrey Fragniere led a balanced Belle offensive with 13 kills. Junior setter Meghan Parker had 32 assists.
Angelo State's serving was pinpoint, too. The Belles served 11 aces with freshman defensive specialist Morgan Preston and Parker serving five and four aces, respectively.

The Lady Lions will make their home debut at 6 p.m. on Tuesday night when they host the University of Arkansas-Monticello at the Stubblefield Center.
