In a rare NCAA Division II vs. Division I regular-season tennis match, the UAFS Lions lost a hard-fought encounter 6-1 against the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles on Tuesday afternoon at the ONEOk Sports Complex in Tulsa, Okla.
It was the first match of a busy week for the Lions (5-6), who will play at the University of the Ozarks at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in Clarksville.
Freshman
Wian Van Dyk posted the lone win for the Lions, beating Jan Pehnec 7-6, 7-6 at No. 2 singles.
