Kandace Young posted a Top 10 finish on Saturday to lead the UAFS women's cross country team to a ninth-place finish in the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational 5k at the Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee, Okla.
Young, who also led the Lady Lions in their first two meets of the season, covered the course in a time of 19:14.38 and finished eighth overall in the 158-runner field.

Host Oklahoma Baptist placed six runners in the Top 10 and won the overall team title with 24 points. East Central was runner-up with 89 points. Oklahoma City's Lydia Mato won the individual title, covering the course in a time of 17:51.72.
