UAFS scored 17 points in a row to start the first set of its Heartland Conference volleyball match against Texas A&M International on Thursday night to set the tone for its sweep of the
Dustdevils at the
Stubblefield Center.
The Lady Lions won the match 25-7, 25-23, 25-14 to win its fourth match in a row and remain undefeated in conference play.
It was the first match of a four-match home stand for the Lady Lions (13-7, 3-0), who will host the St. Mary's Rattlers at noon on Saturday in their annual Pink Match for breast cancer awareness and research.
UAFS held Texas A&M International (2-15, 0-3) to a paltry 0.025 hitting percentage with 22 kills on 119 attempts with 19 errors. No
Dustdevil collected double-digit kills. Freshman outside hitter

UAFS offensive attack.
Stoops had 32 assists, while Black served four of the Lady Lions' eight aces.
Texas A&M International had five total team blocks. Junior right-side hitter Annie
Deininger had two solo blocks and two block assists.
Asdourian had a team-high 24 digs.
