The UAFS volleyball team began its final home stand of the regular season with a sweep of the Dallas Baptist Patriots on Thursday night at the Stubblefield Center.
UAFS won the match 25-15, 25-22, 25-23 to win its second match in a row and sweep the regular-season series against Dallas Baptist.
The Lady Lions (16-10, 6-3) remained two matches behind Heartland Conference leader Lubbock Christian (18-7, 8-1) and one match behind second place St. Mary's (13-11, 7-2). UAFS will finish its final regular-season home stand at 1 p.m. on Saturday when the Lady Lions host the fourth-place St. Edward's Hilltoppers.

Rachel Williams had 13 kills and junior outside hitter
Anna Demmer had 11 to lead the Lady Lions. Freshman setter
Taylor Stoops had 20 assists, while sophomore setter
Laryssa Correa had 14 assists. Demmer and Stoops each served two aces for the Lady Lions.
UAFS had seven total blocks. Senior middle hitter
Debra Rogers had two solo blocks and three assists. Demmer topped off her 12
th double-double of the season with 23 digs.
