Redshirt sophomore Kandace Young kept her streak alive on Saturday as she led the UAFS Lady Lions cross country team during the Heartland Conference Championship Meet at the Max Mandel Municipal Golf Course in Laredo, Texas.
It was the fifth-consecutive race for Young to lead UAFS, which finished eighth in the conference meet. Young covered the 6k course in a time of 23:31.8 and finished 26^th overall in the 78-runner field. It was the fifth-fastest 6k time in school history.
