Tyler Morrison posted a Top 10 finish to help the UAFS women's golf team earn a fourth-place finish in the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Invitational on Tuesday at Lawton Country Club in Lawton, Okla.
UAFS shot a 52-over-par 620 (316-304) over the two-round, two-day event, moving up two spots on the final leaderboard. The Lady Lions finished 26 strokes behind tournament winner Tarleton State, which shot a 26-over 594 (297-297).
Tarleton State won the 13-team even by four strokes over Oklahoma Christian, which shot a 29-over 597 (298-299). Angelo State finished third with a 43-over 611 (307-304).
Texas A&M International was fifth (626), followed by Newman (631), Cameron (631), University of Texas-Tyler (639), Northwestern Oklahoma State (654), Southern Arkansas (655), Wayland Baptist (677) and Arkansas-Monticello (700). Western Texas Community College had one of its four players withdraw from the final round and finished last.
Morrison shot a 9-over 151 (77-74) and finished tied for eighth overall.
