Taylor was named the Heartland Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performances in the Lady Lions' wins last week.

Taylor posted her seventh and eighth double-doubles of the season in the Lady Lions' road win at Oklahoma Christian on Thursday and home win against then conference co-leader Newman on Saturday.

The Marlin, Texas, native averaged 21 points and 12.5 rebounds per game during the two-game stretch that saw the Lady Lions remain tied for second place in the conference behind nationally-ranked Lubbock Christian.

She shot 80 percent from the field (20 of 25) and averaged one blocked shot and 1.4 assists per game.
