Freshman Will Phillips once again led the UAFS men's cross country team, helping the Lions post a third-place finish on Saturday in the sixth annual University of the Ozarks Invitational 8K at Clarksville.
UAFS placed two runners in the Top 25 and tallied 80 points in the scoring. Harding won the meet, placing five runners in the Top 10 and scoring 19 points. John Brown was runner-up, placing two runners in the Top 10 and scoring 64 points.
Williams Baptist was fourth (135 points), the University of Dallas was fifth (150), Oklahoma Wesleyan was sixth (155), Ecclesia College was seventh (166), the University of the Ozarks was eighth (227), Central Baptist College was ninth (282) and Rust College was 10th (295).
Phillips, who has led the Lions at every meet this season, covered the course in a time of 26:48.1 and finished 13th.
