Gibbs shot a 12-over par 158 to lead the UAFS women's golf team to a sixth place finish in the University of Missouri-St. Louis Las Vegas Desert Classic on Monday at the Paiute Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nev.

UAFS shot an 81-over 657 (327-330) and finished 45 strokes behind classic winner Central Oklahoma, which shot a 36-over 612 (305-307) over the two-round, two-day event that featured 12 teams representing NCAA Division II, NAIA and NJCAA.

Central Oklahoma finished 12 strokes ahead of runner-up and host University of Missouri-St. Louis, which shot a 48-over 624 (306-318).

Gibbs shot rounds of 78-78 and finished tied for seventh.
