Freshman Jessica Salas has been the leader of the pack for the UAFS Lady Lions cross country team this season, and the Springdale, Ark., native kept her streak alive on Saturday during the 27th annual Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival at the University of Arkansas' Agri Park in Fayetteville.

Salas led the Lady Lions to a 26th place finish in the college division of the 5k event. She covered the course in a time of 19:04.10, finishing 185th.
